Awake again

I haunt the halls

of my own home

a wandering spirit

possessed by

the ghost of

my still living

she moves in me

stirring and stretching

half past the witching hour

she rises

a wrestles wraith

like her I leave

poisonous plumes

of hazy violet

smoke signals of our

time traveling

Birthday Blood

A lonely birthday

Follows a new moon

Good things

Are on the way

All the horoscopes say

But I don’t buy

And I already know

A lonely birthday

Silently signals

Trouble bubbling

Underneath my skin,

Beneath a new moon

Invisible and dark

A fresh start looms

Like birth,

It bleeds

Winter Rain

Late Winter Rain

Comes down

Coating the earth

in wet, icy drops

sending shivers up spines

and obscuring the earth

in a thousand shades of grey

Sunshine slips down

filtered by

cloudy cover

Leaving us lonely,

in a world

of not quite black. white, or bright

Puddles pop up

Revealing dull reflections

As dim shadows play

against dying light

the web of Winter

needs the sharp eyes

of nuance
